Not particularly reliable

I have used these guys twice. Once, it was fine, typical short haul flight. The second time was terrible. They sold us a ticket which has two legs, one with another carrier. Frontier Airlines. We couldnt check into frontier, as we did not exist on their system. After a lot of back and forth with Frontier they said basically, Volaris had never paid for the ticket so the seats where on hold/cancelled. Volaris only have a phone line from 8am to 6pm Mexico time, which is useless if your flight is outside those hours. We had to spend another night in Orlando at our expense. Volaris got us on their next available flight out, they said "not having to pay additional for the next flight was our compensation"! We were out quite a bit of money and time. Volaris tried to blame it on Frontier, which just wasnt true. I am not saying dont take volaris, do, when there are not other options.

I truly think that Volaris is one of…

I truly think that Volaris is one of the worst airlines. They have cheap tickets but then make it up with extra fees! Like $80 dollars to sit 5 family members together when the plane was nearly empty! I also needed to cancel a flight 4 days after purchase (due to a family death) the ticket was paid in advance and was not for 2 months but they refused even though I offered to pay a cancellation fee. I will never fly Volaris again.

Terrible airline and customer service.

Terrible airline and customer service.
They have absolutely no regard for passengers. It’s like they purposely don’t help you.
- Their plane was full of mosquitoes.
- They refused to check in my mom though the plane wouldn’t take off for another 30 mins. I had checked in before but I was still at the counter with her. There definitely was more than enough time to get to the gate because I got there with time to spare.

They cancel my 2 fly without notice

They cancel my 2 fly without notice. I'm fitting to get my money back.. they don't send me my refund it almost a year.. this company is a joke... do not fly with them never. Never repond the costomer service don't help at all.. stay away of the company. ????????????????

They canceled my fleet between Merida…

They canceled my fleet between Merida and Oaxaca without explanation. Their policy is to provide either credit or an alternative fly date. But what is the motivation to fly with them again if they can cancel the flight with impunity? Lots of extra fees. Budget airline services with national carrier prices.

AVOID!!!!

Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT ever fly Volaris. This airline provided god awful customer service and left my mom in Chihuahua, Mexico.
My mom needed to take an emergency trip to Chihuahua so she took both her American and Mexican passports with her. She passed DIA security and customs just fine. However, the flight attendants for her flight back to Denver did not allow her to board only because her American passport was expired. They denied her even though she had entered Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico just fine. Even two people who are part of Mexican immigration and American immigration told my parents and the flight attendants that she was allowed. Unfortantely, the flight attendants, especially the supervisor, rebuted by simply saying they won't allow her on.
And on top of all of this, my dad was left next to the paid, empty seat and the flight attendants were trying to fill it quickly with a last minute ticket purchase. My dad was already angry and argued with the attendants but had to stop to prevent himself from getting kicked out. So then, my mom had no choice but to take a ~24 hour bus ride back from Mexico alone.
My family and I are absolutely furious and don't think we'll ever use them again. I can not believe that my mom with duel citizenship was denied getting back into the country just because people were on a power trip.

Awful Airline

Awful Airline. They constantly change flights, the departure times constantly change and the food service is awful.

Really the 97% bad feedback is correct

Really the 97% bad feedback is correct. If you use cheap airlines then you sort of know that you wont get all the frills, and you wont be able to cancel. Due to the Covid restrictions I deliberately purchased their flexible combo deal, which apparently allows you to rebook if things go wrong at no extra cost. I Thought I was being sensible, but it is nothing other than another money making ploy. If you try to rebook you wont find any flights available on the screen that offers you dates, even a year ahead!. However there will actually be tons of flights available on the general web. They are just not offering them to the poor saps that have purchased their extra security/insurance. Everyone says book direct, and not to go through agent sites, I think I would trust the agent sites more now. After reading the reviews above I am not even sure I want to even attempt to fly with them now, in case I am stung for another false cost when I arrive. And another thing I paid for all of it in one transaction, the early boarding, the extra insurance, the DNI charge. But not showing on their rebooking page, even showing a checked bag was not on my original flight and that I bought the most basic flight only package, this is not true and would no doubt all be charged for again, if I could find a date available..... anywhere. They need to sort this out, not sure if its legal.

Volaris = Nightmare (Pesadilla)

Total nightmare do not fly with Volaris. You are better off spending a few extra bucks with a more reputable airline. We tried to get a refund on a flight after testing positive for Covid - an agent told us to email the positive test for proof, which we did but they still rejected our request. Next, they offer travel credit. But you cant use it how you want to. You can only use it on one trip and it has to be the same passengers names, regardless of who paid for the entire trip! Fine, rather than losing the credit i thought to rebook the trip knowing that 3 of our 5 passangers probably couldnt make it. Guess what? They steal about 30% of your credit value and say that it is not applicable towards taxes, fees, baggage or basically anything other than the base rate. The agent we spoke to assured us that we could at least use the remaining credit towards a different flight with the same passenger names. This was also a lie! When i tried to book a secondary flight with my remaining credit, the system says that its invalid. Good luck speaking to anyone on the phone. You will be on hold for hours and they will REFUSE to let you speak to a supervisor no matter who you speak with. Like i said, avoid this nightmare called Volaris!

Changed my Flight Without Notification

Had a flight scheduled for 1 pm Friday, and tried checking in on Thursday to find out that they had changed my flight to the next day (Saturday) at 1 am WITHOUT any notice. Then we immediately called Volaris and the representative told us that they had canceled all flights to Mexico for Friday. We showed up early on Friday either way just to learn that they actually did have flights for Friday, and their rep. lied to us and did not try to re-book us for the day that we were originally scheduled for. We had a hotel booked & car rented, and they did not care, and did not try to offer any remediation. Their lack of professionalism and care for their customers will be their downfall.

ATTENTION THEFT

ATTENTION THEFT: do not fly with Volaris, they are stealing money from their users. I made a duplicate reservation on the exact same flight because one of the reservations looked like it hadn't been processed so I proceeded with a new one.
Then it turns out that in one of the reservations, eDreams put a different birth year, 1990 instead of 1992, the rest all the same (credit card, name and surname, month and day of birthday, email, etc).
Then they tell me that since the year is different, they will not return my money. I explained to them that the year is wrong and asked if they can please change it to 1992, and they tell me no and that even if they did, they will no longer return my money.
They are basically charging the same person twice for two reservations on the same flight, and they are not allowing the problem to be solved.
Is it fair that I spend 5 hours of my Sunday trying to solve this issue on phones, chats etc and no one can help me? Where is the consumer protection. It is a shame to have to be in these situations of helplessness in front of the companies.
